He was formerly Research Consultant to the Skin Sciences Institute, Children's Hospital Research Foundation, University of Cincinnati. His scientific articles coauthored with S.B. Hoath include "The Organization of Human Epidermis: Functional Epidermal Units and Phi Proportionality" and "The Human Stratum Corneum as Extended, Covalently Cross-linked Biopolymer: Mathematics, Molecules, and Medicine." He was tenured in Classics and taught Religious Studies at New York University and was former Distinguished Visiting Professor of Philosophy at Loyola University Maryland. While a Classics professor at NYU, he received the Lindback Foundation award for distinguished teaching.
